Celebrating multilingualism

At Progresso Bilíngue Vinhedo, students flourish in a welcoming and multilingual community, growing as confident communicators from their very first day at school. They learn Portuguese and English side by side throughout their entire journey to Year 12, building strong, lasting skills that support both academic and personal growth.

From Year 6 onward, Spanish enriches their learning experience, opening doors to new cultures and expanding their global horizons. Guided by dedicated educators, Progresso Vinhedo students develop empathy, real-world communication skills, and a truly international mindset - preparing them to thrive in Brazil and wherever life leads them.

At Progresso Bilíngue Vinhedo, students don’t just learn in two languages - they excel in them. In the most recent AVANT proficiency assessment, Elementary and Middle School students demonstrated clear, measurable progress across all language skills: reading, writing, listening, and speaking.

Portuguese (native language) English (second language) Spanish (complementary language)

Portuguese (native language)

Students begin their journey in Portuguese in Early Years and continue through the end of High School, strengthening their reading, writing, and communication skills at every stage. From the earliest years, they take part in stories, creative projects, and group activities that spark imagination, encourage self-expression, and develop collaboration.

As they progress, students deepen their understanding of language, culture, and critical thinking, preparing for higher education and for the challenges of everyday life.

English (second language)

From Toddler 1 to Year 12, learners build English skills through classroom activities and digital tools including iPads and Flash Academy. They practice listening, speaking, reading and writing every day, making progress with each lesson.

Students explore stories, songs and interactive tasks, growing in fluency and confidence. As they advance, they track their achievements with assessments such as the AVANT exam, preparing to connect and succeed in a global world.

Spanish (complementary language)

Starting in Year 6, students add Spanish to their learning journey through Year 9. They take part in interactive lessons and cultural projects, practicing conversation, building vocabulary and understanding real-life situations.

Students can choose to show their progress by taking the optional DELE certification. This experience expands their global perspective and strengthens their ability to communicate in more than one language.
