Middle School at Progresso Bilíngue Vinhedo is where learners take charge of their learning, pushing academic boundaries across four areas of learning and building confidence in English and Spanish through literature, experiments, and hands-on projects. Middle School students show what they know through a mix of creative projects and structured assessments. Students lead Literary Projects, dive into independent research, and collaborate on group assignments.Essays and multiple-choice tests help track subject mastery, while hands-on work highlights research skills, creative thinking, and the ability to connect learning to real-world situations.This balanced approach means students own their progress, celebrate growth, and build confidence in every lesson. At Progresso Bilingual Vinhedo, students embark on a multilingual journey and develop fluency in Portuguese and English at every stage of their learning. Through a balanced curriculum, they advance in reading, writing, and problem-solving in both languages through projects and collaborative challenges that spark curiosity and confidence. Spanish is introduced as a third language, expanding their skills and cultural repertoire through lessons and interactive activities. Progress is closely monitored: teachers observe learning daily, review students’ work, and carry out bi-monthly assessments. Students also take English and Spanish proficiency exams, leading to internationally recognized certifications.
In Middle School, students challenge themselves through national and international Olympiads, demonstrating knowledge and talent in competitions such as Canguru de Matemática Brasil, Matific, the Brazilian Astronomy Olympiad, and Portuguese and English Language Olympiads. Throughout the year, they bring classroom learning to life through educational visits to Salto and Barra Bonita, Paranapiacaba, Fazenda Guaxinduva in the Japi Reserve, as well as Day Camp, NR, and technical visits. These experiences broaden perspectives and create lasting memories. Through ISP’s ILOS, students connect with peers from around the world, collaborate on meaningful projects, and grow as global citizens. In Vinhedo, they do not simply study the world: they explore it, lead with confidence, and build connections that last a lifetime

I joined Progresso in 2019. Since then, I have earned several medals, but this one in astronomy felt different.
