A professional trained in Psychology and dedicated to students’ holistic development, she serves as an Educational Guidance Assistant and member of the Safeguarding team, contributing to students’ emotional and social well-being and to the creation of a welcoming, safe school environment. She also coordinates the International Opportunities Project at Progresso Bilíngue Vinhedo, which promotes cultural and educational experiences designed to develop life skills and broaden students’ worldviews. She believes education goes beyond academic knowledge; it is also a space for human growth, empathy, and connection with the world
Maria Juliana is a professional with over 21 years’ experience in the education sector, specialising in Child Psychomotor Development and Literacy. Her career at Progresso began six years ago, during which time she worked as a Co-ordination Assistant before taking on, last year, the roles of Senior Admissions Analyst and Health and Safety Co-ordinator. In her role in the Health and Safety department, Maria Juliana’s primary mission is to ensure a safe, healthy and trustworthy school environment for pupils, families and staff, providing the necessary foundation for successful educational development.
Michele is an educator with a degree in Pedagogy and a postgraduate degree in Psychoanalysis, she has more than 25 years of experience in the field of education. Her career has been marked by her dedication to the literacy process and to supporting children’s development, with extensive experience in Early Years education and the early years of Elementary School. Michele has been part of the Progresso Bilíngue Vinhedo team since 2013 and, in 2023, took on the role of Pedagogical Coordinator. She also serves as Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), responsible for Safeguarding in the segment, promoting actions focused on the protection, well-being, and safety of children and adolescents, and strengthening a culture of care and prevention within the school environment. Her work focuses on teacher development, strengthening pedagogical practices, and promoting meaningful learning experiences for students and educators. She believes that education transforms lives when knowledge goes hand in hand with care, listening, and all-round development. As Magda Soares highlights, “Literacy is not an endpoint, but an ongoing process of entering written culture.

Anti-bullying and digital safety
