Celebrating multilingualism

At Progresso Bilíngue Itu, students enter a dynamic bilingual environment, mastering Portuguese and English from Early Years through High School. They benefit from individualized support in language learning and learn through practice, immersed in real conversations, using digital resources, and tracking their progress through regular assessments and the annual exam.

Specialized teachers guide each stage, helping students become confident multilingual communicators. By the end of the program, Progresso students are prepared to succeed in Brazil and around the world.

Portuguese (Native Language) English (Second Language) Spanish (Complementary Language)

Portuguese (Native Language)

Students begin their journey in Portuguese in Early Years and continue through the end of High School, strengthening their reading, writing, and communication skills at every stage. From the early years, they take part in stories, creative projects, and group activities that spark imagination, encourage self-expression, and develop collaboration.

As they progress, students deepen their understanding of language, culture, and critical thinking, preparing for higher education and the challenges of everyday life.

English (Second Language)

English learning begins in Early Years and continues through the end of High School, with students taking part in immersive lessons and using digital tools, such as iPads and Flash Academy, to support their progress.

Early Years students practice listening, speaking, reading, and writing through songs, stories, and interactive experiences. As they progress, they become more fluent and confident in English.

All bilingual classes use the STAMP Avant English assessment, allowing students to track their progress and validate their skills at every stage.

Spanish (Complementary Language)

Students begin learning Spanish in Middle School, exploring the language through practical lessons and cultural projects. They practice speaking, expand their vocabulary, and strengthen comprehension in everyday contexts. Those who wish to do so can earn the DELE certification to validate their skills.

This complementary program helps students broaden their worldview and communication skills, supporting their development as multilingual learners.

Francine Baesso

I believe being bilingual goes far beyond speaking a language other than your mother tongue. It is an opportunity to broaden horizons, connect with new people, cultures, and places, and develop a wider view of the world.
