Literary projects across all grade levels encourage students to explore new ideas and different perspectives. By working collaboratively and conducting independent research, students develop critical thinking, creativity, and the confidence to express themselves, preparing them to make meaningful contributions to the world.
In Maker activities, students engage in hands-on learning by exploring, investigating, and innovating. Science labs and maker spaces provide opportunities to tackle real-world challenges and turn ideas into reality. Students develop problem-solving skills, resilience, and leadership by collaborating and thinking critically. At Progresso, the maker mindset goes beyond a methodology; it is a way of thinking that transforms students into confident creators and agile thinkers.
Progresso Itu students develop digital literacy from an early age, learning to use technology thoughtfully, critically, and responsibly to enhance their learning and growth. They explore digital tools, create content, and collaborate on projects that connect learning to the real world. Throughout this process, students strengthen their independence and leadership skills, build confidence in using different platforms, and engage actively with the digital world, taking ownership of their own futures in an increasingly connected society.
Students actively lead their own journeys, reflecting on their life goals and exploring a wide range of opportunities beyond academic achievement. Through personalized projects and guided experiences, they develop conscious, purposeful decision-making, strengthening critical thinking and self-awareness. At every stage, students make informed choices, share formative experiences, and strive for excellence. They become the authors of their own stories, shaping the future with confidence, clarity, and intention.

Programa Semente
Individual Research Project (TPI)
Students are encouraged to conduct their own research, developing analysis, communication, and presentation skills while also building self-confidence throughout the process.
The Semente Program supports students at Colégio Progresso Bilíngue Itu in developing essential social-emotional skills through structured activities and well-established educational practices. By fostering responsibility, resilience, empathy, and social awareness, the program contributes to a well-rounded education. As a result, students become better prepared to succeed both in school and in their personal lives, building positive and lasting relationships throughout their journey.
Each year, students in Grades 6 through 11 choose a topic and work with a teacher to develop a challenging research project throughout the year. The experience culminates in a presentation in August, where both the written work and oral communication skills are assessed. This approach strengthens research, analysis, and public speaking skills, helping students build confidence and critical thinking.
