Focus on literature

Students engage with literature from the early years, developing a deep appreciation for culture and storytelling. Literary projects across all grade levels encourage students to explore new ideas and different perspectives.

By working collaboratively and conducting independent research, students develop critical thinking, creativity, and the confidence to express themselves, preparing them to make meaningful contributions to the world.

Maker activities

In Maker activities, students engage in hands-on learning by exploring, investigating, and innovating. Science labs and maker spaces provide opportunities to tackle real-world challenges and turn ideas into reality.

Students develop problem-solving skills, resilience, and leadership by collaborating and thinking critically. At Progresso, the maker mindset goes beyond a methodology; it is a way of thinking that transforms students into confident creators and agile thinkers.

Maker activities

Digital literacy

Progresso Itu students develop digital literacy from an early age, learning to use technology thoughtfully, critically, and responsibly to enhance their learning and growth. They explore digital tools, create content, and collaborate on projects that connect learning to the real world.

Throughout this process, students strengthen their independence and leadership skills, build confidence in using different platforms, and engage actively with the digital world, taking ownership of their own futures in an increasingly connected society.

Student-led journeys

Students actively lead their own journeys, reflecting on their life goals and exploring a wide range of opportunities beyond academic achievement. Through personalized projects and guided experiences, they develop conscious, purposeful decision-making, strengthening critical thinking and self-awareness.

At every stage, students make informed choices, share formative experiences, and strive for excellence. They become the authors of their own stories, shaping the future with confidence, clarity, and intention.

Curiosity fuels our learning

The best learning happens when students are actively engaged. We ignite curiosity through hands-on projects and inquiry-based learning, making learning exciting, memorable and full of exploration.

Confidence drives lifelong learning

Our students trust in their abilities, build confidence and lead their way forward. This mindset helps them believe they can learn and achieve anything, fostering a love for lifelong learning.

The power of 'Good Struggles'

We believe great learning happens just beyond the comfort zone. That’s why we create purposeful challenges, or 'good struggles', that help students stay motivated while they grow. Through these experiences, students build resilience, solve problems, and learn to keep going – even when it’s hard.

Teachers as co-pilots

Learning here is a partnership. Teachers work alongside students as guides, helping them navigate choices, embrace good struggles, inspire those 'aha' Amazing Learning moments of self-discovery and grow in confidence.

Measuring the quality of learning

We measure the quality of learning through International Schools Partnership’s Learning Improvement Process - LIP. This framework helps teachers and leaders reflect on what works and adapt quickly to meet each learner’s needs, ensuring every student feels ready to embrace good struggles and succeed.

Informed by evidence gathered through this process, our learning spaces continually evolve to spark curiosity, foster resilience and prepare students with the skills they need to thrive - not just in school, but in life. Every improvement is guided by what drives real progress for learners.
