Celebrating multilingualism

At Progresso Bilíngue Santos, students build strong multilingual skills from Early Years through High School, learning in Portuguese and English every day and adding Spanish from Year 6 to Year 9.

Through real conversations, digital tools, and regular assessments, including Avant STAMP, they grow as confident communicators ready to connect, collaborate, and thrive in Brazil and beyond.

Languages offered

Students from Early Years through Middle School discover our language programs, supporting them from their first words to their greatest achievements.

Portuguese (Native Language) English (Second Language) Spanish (Complementary Language)

Portuguese (Native Language)

Students develop their Portuguese skills from Toddler 1 through Early Years, following a curriculum aligned with the BNCC. From the earliest years, children take part in rich literary projects, storytelling, and interactive activities that encourage reading, writing, and oral communication.

In Elementary School, students are encouraged to produce texts across different genres and use multiple forms of expression, deepening their understanding of language structure and culture. As they progress, they develop critical thinking and analytical skills, preparing for more advanced academic challenges and real-world contexts.

English (Second Language)

Students practice English every day at Progresso Bilíngue Santos, from Toddler 1 through High School. They learn through stories, songs, conversations, and hands-on activities, building fluency, confidence, and communication skills.

As they progress, they expand their skills through reading, writing, and discussion, while digital tools and international experiences, such as Flash Academy and the ILOS programs, make learning interactive and engaging. Teachers track progress through regular assessments and the annual Avant STAMP exam, helping each student grow into a confident and capable communicator in a global context.

Spanish (Complementary Language)

Students begin learning Spanish from Year 6 through Year 9, exploring the language through interactive lessons, cultural projects, and real-life situations.

They practice speaking, vocabulary, and comprehension while developing global awareness and intercultural understanding. Students can demonstrate their skills, expanding opportunities for academic and professional success in Brazil and abroad.

Murilo Camargo Almada

The ISP introduced a different perspective on multilingual learning, which prompted me to reflect on how small changes could have an even greater positive impact on students' learning.
