Celebrating multilingualism

At Progresso Bilíngue Taquaral, students step into a lively bilingual setting, mastering Portuguese and English from their first days in Early Years right through to High School. From Year 6 to Year 9, they add Spanish to their toolkit, expanding their language skills even further.

With five campuses buzzing with activity, students get personalized language support. They learn by doing - immersed in real conversations, using digital resources, and tracking their progress through regular assessments and the annual Avant exam.

Expert teachers guide every step, helping students grow into confident, multilingual communicators. By the time they finish, Progresso students are ready to succeed in Brazil and anywhere their ambitions take them.

Portuguese (native language) English (second language) Spanish (complementary language)

Portuguese (native language)

Students begin their journey in Portuguese in Early Years and continue through to the end of High School, strengthening their reading, writing, and communication skills at every stage. From the early years, they take part in storytelling, creative projects, and group activities that spark imagination, encourage personal expression, and develop collaboration.

As they progress, students deepen their understanding of language, culture, and critical thinking, preparing them for higher education and for the challenges of everyday life.

English (second language)

English learning begins in Toddler 1 and carries on through Year 12, with students experiencing immersive lessons and using digital tools such as iPads and Flash Academy to support their progress.

Early learners practice listening, speaking, reading, and writing through songs, stories, and interactive experiences. As they move up, they become more fluent and confident in English.

Every bilingual class uses the Stamp Avant English assessment, so students can see how far they've come and confirm their skills at each stage.

Spanish (complementary language)

Students start Spanish in Year 6 and continue until Year 9, exploring the language through hands-on lessons and cultural projects. They practice speaking, build vocabulary, and strengthen comprehension in real-world settings. Those who wish can pursue DELE certification to showcase their abilities.

This complementary program helps students broaden their global outlook and communication skills, supporting their growth as multilingual learners.
