Middle School learners take an active role in shaping their education, with progress observed through classroom activities and learning visits. Their growth is supported by varied assessments, including collaborative projects, individual research, writing assignments, internal tests, and external evaluations in both Portuguese and English. Together, these tools provide a comprehensive understanding of each student’s progress within the class and individually. Students learn to reflect on achievements and embrace responsibility for their learning, gaining the skills and confidence to lead their own educational journey.
At Progresso Bilíngue Taquaral, Middle School students step up and take charge of their learning. Every day, they build real-world skills that go far beyond textbooks. Here’s how they grow:
Students actively shape their learning journey by setting goals, monitoring progress, and applying their skills across subjects and activities, developing into confident, responsible, and engaged individuals prepared for success in high school and beyond.
Middle School students lead their language learning journey, advancing in Portuguese and English year after year. They foster fluency by guiding discussions, sharing ideas, and engaging in hands-on projects, meaningful challenges, and authentic experiences. Spanish is added as a third language, giving students the chance to practice conversation, explore cultural perspectives, and expand their linguistic horizons.
Growth is assessed through classroom observations, regular reviews, and bi-monthly internal evaluations. The Stamp Avant exam measures English proficiency annually, and students aiming higher can validate their Spanish skills through the DELE exam.
Students challenge themselves through national and international academic competitions, earning top results in Math, Literature, Science, Robotics, Geography, Geopolitics, Portuguese, Astronomy, and more.
Throughout the year, students also take part in educational field trips that connect classroom learning with real-world experiences. Additionally, ISP’s ILOS programs provide opportunities to collaborate with peers worldwide, fostering global awareness, cultural exchange, and essential life skills.
