For more than 125 years, Progresso Cambuí has been a benchmark for educational excellence in Campinas, with top ENEM performance and 100% university admission. As the first school in Campinas to offer the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP), students develop the knowledge, character, and global outlook to thrive in an interconnected world.

Our story begins
Founded in the city of Campinas in 1900 by a group of coffee growers, Progresso Cambuí originally established itself as a leading secular and progressive boarding school for girls under the name Colégio Progresso Campineiro.
Our legendary campus is built
From day one, our facilities sparked inspired learning - with innovative labs, sports fields, and specialized rooms designed for discovery and collaboration. Now modernized and restructured, the building continues to buzz with energy, welcoming new generations every year.
Progresso Cambuí becomes co-ed
Opening the doors to male students marked a bold new chapter for Progresso Cambuí. Students stepped up and shaped a co-ed community, driving change and sparking fresh conversations in every classroom.
The High School opens
After more than a century of excellence in education from Early Childhood to Middle School for both boys and girls, we launched our High School program, offering our students a full-cycle education from first steps until graduation.
Exceptional ENEM results
Our graduating cohort obtained exceptional results in their ENEM, Brazil's National High School Exam, ranking among the top schools in the state of São Paulo – a legacy that continues today.
Opening of new campuses
The network quickly expanded due to increasing demand from local families, opening the Santos and Vinhedo campuses in 2009, and Taquaral and Indaiatuba one year later.
Progresso Cambuí becomes bilingual
Cambuí led the way in Campinas as the first campus to pioneer a bilingual Portuguese and English program, setting once again the standard for innovation and academic excellence.
The sixth campus opens
The Progresso network added Itu, the sixth campus of the family, further enhancing its presence in the area and satisfying the growing demand of families - interested in the group's excellent bilingual offering.
Progresso Bilíngue is born
All campuses officially embraced the Progresso Bilíngue name, reflecting a unified identity and commitment to excellence in all locations of the network.

Our learners top the charts in the ENEM exam, with an average score of 685, beating the national average by 136 points and ranking among the best in São Paulo.100% of High School students enter college, with 90% landing spots at top Brazilian public universities including USP, UNICAMP, and UNESP, and federal institutions, while others head to renowned private and international universities.Students also shine beyond the classroom, earning medals in academic Olympiads and achieving standout results in Spanish, 100% of Year 9 students reach A1 in the DELE exam, with around 40% hitting B1 or B2.

The educational counselling team tracks achievement and steps in with targeted actions, including tutoring sessions, reinforcement classes, and personalized activity lists. When a challenge calls for extra expertise, referrals to outside specialists happen in partnership with families.Reinforcement classes, aimed at students from Year 1 to the 3rd year of High School, focus on key learning concepts that need extra attention outside regular school hours. Alcance classes expand English vocabulary for students in Elementary. Doubt-Solving sessions, available weekly for students from Y6 to the 3rd year of High School, create space to clarify doubts, review concepts and complete homework with teacher support.
Students grow, connect, and thrive outside the classroom through a rich catalog of extra-curricular activities.
They take part in fun team and individual sports, participating in tournaments and competitions involving all Progresso Schools.
